It sure feels good!

This is some of the "backlog" of layouts that accumlated during the "Wedding Album" creation. It feels good to be putting this down in paper form and getting those ideas out of my head!!! These are pics from my Mom & Al visiting Austin when Emma was a newbie. Plus their road trip to San Marcos.

Lana (dd) and her girlfriend Christie came to N. Tx and we three (wise or not!) did Canton, Tx. Part junk yard, part craft fair, mostly just stuff...but it was a ton o' fun!! I felt like a "real" Texan having experienced Canton.
Thanks for visiting.

p.s. LOVE T!m's new mini-mask!!! Check them out they are Wonderful & Easy and leave a great effect.

The Wedding Book - Done!!

Okay, Here it is!! This is the finished scrapbook from our daughters beautiful wedding. It was a destination wedding on the Royal Caribbean Cruise, Rhapsody of the Sea. This is a small sampling of the 94 page book. It took 3 years to complete and I am very proud of the way it turned out. The thing that I notice the most is how much I have learned and how much my style has changed in the evolution of this creation.
Because of the fact that there was a large group of people on a 7 day cruise vacation that also included a wedding, personal shower, bachelorette party, bachelor party, reception, 3 destinations, plus the traditional wedding showers, invitations, dress hunting, etc... it was out of control before it ever began! I however, enjoyed the journey, although I will share that I did more than my fair share of complaining about it during the process.
Every time I look thru this book it is a joy to relive this trip, and the time with the people that we were so fortunate to share it with.
Thanks for taking the time to stop in.

Silly Momma...

Life has been amazing around here. Even though we really have not been here much...lol.
I am starting to put together the story of the last couple of weeks. I look forward to sharing that story with my layouts. Emma was distracted with the stickers of "clean hands" at the hamburger joint we went to, instead of smiling to take her picture. Momma, (a.k.a., Lana) was trying to get her attention, she did!
Thanks for stopping by.

Isn't this the cutest family?

This is a layout of pictures from last August (?) 2008 and I think the one on the right is from a couple of week later. Can you tell they are UT fans?

I once again started with what I needed to follow Sally's sketch for her challenge, it just does not work for me because it does not "feel" balanced to the eye. It is my problem not the problem of the sketch, I did enjoy using the elements for the sketch. I really liked the ribbon and lace for the vertical line, that was fun using layered fibers instead of paper.
I can't wait to do the layouts from last weekend, gotta get the pics printed so i can get at it!
Thx for stopping by.
Later,
~Jill

Mothers Day

I had a wonderful day yesterday playing with a bunch of "scraps". It was a $1 star book from Michaels, scrap paper, left over pictures, and just a bunch of "throw away" items. I really enjoyed playing and wasting my day doing just that. My intention is to give this book to Emma since it is all about her, she will hopefully "learn" how to take care of pictures and as for this particualar book she can tear it up, rip it up, bite it, etc...but hopefully it will be a learning tool.

Imagine & Inspire

Sally, here it is - I tried! hahaha
Go check out Sally's blog, she is doing a great challenge give away! Stop and tell her hi!
Well, here is my very lame attempt at a sketch challenge.
This was a gymnastic playdate for Emma, she didn't want to wait her turn and I thought her piggy tails look like butterfly wings (Or, flutterby wings..lol).
