Enjoying myself....
These photos are from a trip my daughter and her family took to Arizona in March of 2008. My husband and I did not go on this trip so I was hesitant to scrap these memories (since they weren't really my memories). However, when I got my hands on the Once Upon a Springtime collection from Graphic 45 I had to get them printed!!
The last layout I did was to follow the challenge on The Scrap Beach ning site for "Glue it Down and Use it Up" group for this week.
Thanks for stopping in to see "what's up" with Jill's Life Adventure...

I received this Stylish Blogger award from the very talented and sweet Teri, over at http://allthingscreated2.blogspot.com/ Thank you Teri for this award!

The conditions of this Award are . . .
1. Make a post linking back to the person who gave you the award!
2. Share 7 random things about yourself
3. Award 7 recently discovered bloggers with this award
4. Contact these bloggers and tell them they've won the award.
7 random things about me...
I have been married for 28 years and have two wonderful children and 2 beautiful grandchildren.
I am disabled, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1987. Crafting and telling my story with paper & photos saves my sanity. (sometimes...lol)
I am extremely OCD with my craft goodies, I get a kick out of playing/organizing my goodies, weird I know!
After 17 years in the same home we "downsized" to a townhouse in a neighboring city, it was the toughest and best thing we have ever done. I enjoy the benefits everyday!
We have a 16 year old mutt named Sara, she is the sweetest most loyal dog we have ever owned.
I trip over flat surfaces... :)
I love my family, friends and new scrappy friends.
Now onto the passing of the award.

A new Mini-Album (and UFO update)
This project had been categorized into the UFO (Un-Finished Objects) pile. It feels wonderful to get it completed, it's going to the post office today!!
Vince (DH) and I, took a road trip in October, during that trip we stopped in Flagstaff to stay with dear friends, we were there for 4 days. I have wanted/needed to make a mini-album to send to them as a thank you gift for their wonderful hospitality. I never dreamed it wouldn't get made until February, but here we are! While working on this mini (waiting for glue to dry, LOL) I was also able to complete 3 layouts that document our trip to Flagstaff for our 12x12 family 2010 album, (another UFO complete!).
This last layout is extremely heavy with photos, I use my "yearly" 12x12 scrapbook album as my personal photo album/journal, in order to facilitate that process sometimes I use photo page protectors, sometimes I use a layout in the manner above. I have recently discovered Becky Higgins Project Life page/photo protectors, I really like them, however, all of the 3x4 spots are vertical and as you can see I haven't learned to take photos that way!
These "projects" were pushed to the front of the must do first pile by a challenge that is happening on Your Paper Pantry involving K & Co. collections by Tim Coffey, go check it out! I originally purchased this collection a year ago for an ATC swap on The Scrap Beach I made the ATC's using Tim Holtz birdcage die by Sizzix. I really love this collection, from the time we were driving home from Arizona I knew that I wanted to use the Blossomwood goodies, it is so beautiful and was perfect for these memories and this gift.
Thank you to all who are challenging me to finish those UFO's. (update: the 30+ years photo project is at a really good point, I am able to get my hands on photos, family is able to sit and enjoy the photos as they are now in albums by years. My digi world of photo organization is also much, much better.) Although it is nearing the end of February, I feel really good about the progress and the things I have been able to accomplish for my goals for 2011! Now, to get those grandbabies baby albums done!!
Thank you for stopping in to check on my life adventure, hope you have a healthy, happy, scrappy week!!

my Nanny
While working on my family photos, which is a project that is NEVER going to end, I have come across some stories to tell.
I received some additional "photo page protectors" for my 12 x 12 albums, I am having all sorts of fun using these in my albums - it prevents me from having to complete layouts to get the photos where they will eventually live, and gives them a nice place to display in the interim. So far, it is working well.
Thank you for stopping in to check on Jill's Life Adventure.
Have a happy, healthy, scrappy week.

Memories from 2010
Merry-Go-Round
October "Road Trip"
Santa Fe, New Mexico
During the photo project, in an attempt to save my sanity I have continued to create layouts and get inky. This is what I created this weekend.Side note: I thought I was in this century, bad news...DH found bunches more photos!! Who on earth told him to do that??? I was feeling so good about my progress....
I am out of albums and next payday I will be going to purchase more. Then back to the previous century... ugh! does it ever end???
Thanks for stopping in to check up on Jill's life adventure. Have a happy scrappy week.

Stepped completely out of my box....
Some of you are aware of the "photo project" (direct from hell!) that I embarked upon. Over the last 3 decades I have accumulated a 4x4x4 foot cube/pile of photos and memories! This project has been like opening Pandora's box. In between the crazy walks down memory lane I change gears and "craft", the crafting is done out of a need to balance the crazy... if ya know what I mean??? Today, while going thru some of the family photos I came across the 2 wallet sized photos of my Grandparents from their childhood, also a 5x7 from the year before they pasted. Not one of my favorite layouts, but I did enjoy playing.
Break is over ---- back to the photos!!
thanks for stopping in to check on Jill's life adventure.

Friends, i need them....
I love combining what I enjoy...
I have come to know some amazing artist thru the world of you tube and Ustream, it has been a lot of fun, getting to know these amazing people, having them open up themselves and their art has been a wonderful journey. I say this because I find more and more of their influences showing up in what I love to do... example, this layout. Some may say, it's "too busy", which it is, some may say, it's "unbalanced", which it is. But, I say, it's one of my favorites!! I have met one artist that Art Journals who says that her art is "scrapbookie" (her name is Journal Artista on you tube, check her out, she's amazing) ... I think with this layout, I would be tempted to claim that this scrapbook page is very, "art journalie".
Thanks for stopping in to check out Jill's life adventure.... til next time.
Have a healthy, happy, scrappy week.
