Mariposa Mini Book

This past week I met some friends from the area in the fabric district of Dallas, we got together early because one of the girls had to be at work in the afternoon.
One of the things I scored was some trim beads in the color of "Kiwi" they are a great neutral color. I also found some fun trim that had the rose/oranges that I needed to work on this mini using the Mariposa paper from DCWV.
The butterflies on this cover were made using a technique that I learned from Yolanda a you tube friend, who is such a wealth of inspiration and education, she introduced me to the use of Triple Thick by Americana and moldable embellishments, needless to say, I'm having fun playing.
I need to get this mini finished quick, last week during the Thursday chat I won a complete Teresa Collins Welcome Home Kit from Kathryn at Life on the {scrap} beach (it was delivered today!!), there is a link on the side of my blog if you would like to come play. I would love to see you there... ♥
Thanks for stopping by, have a happy scrappy week!

broke out the markers and had a good time!!

I had a friend come to the loft Saturday (hi, Valerie) we played with stamps and made a tag, after she left I continued to play. I got out the markers and this is what happened:

This morning I was pleased when I saw the tag. (love when that happens!!) Started diggin into the ribbon and embellishments to see what was available to enhance my tag, and this was the result.

Sometimes good things happen when you let go and play! ♥
Thanks for stopping by, have a great week!

Another Layout....

This was a stretch.
My .ning, blog, & you tube friend Tiffany (you can find her here: http://stampingattiffanys.blogspot.com/ ) sent me some beautiful butterflies this year. As pretty and delicate as they were, the colors didn't work for this layout. So, I attempted to make "my own".... all I can say is Tiffany's are much prettier... lol
Oh, and by the way, those little buggers are a lot of work.
Anywho, this is my attempt at handmade butterflies... be nice! Have a great day.
Thanks for stopping by,

Challenge #5 OMiGod!! It's a scrunchie!!

This is a bookmark that I made using the crumple technique, with the distress inks when you get them wet with the glimmer mist it's not very defined. It's was very wrinkled before I sent it for a glimmer swim... lol
